Teaching and Sports Assistant

25.75 hours per week, term time only NJC Grade C £14,015 - £14,489 Actual salary

Bickleigh Down CE (Aided) Primary is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a particular focus on sports and physical education to join our school family in Woolwell.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual to work across our school as a Teaching and Sports Assistant. You will have experience of supporting all areas of the curriculum, delivering highquality PE or sports provision, be a great team player and want to be involved in all aspects of school life. Mornings will be spent in the classroom supporting the teaching of lessons or working with small groups of children. Afternoons will be spent teaching a range of sporting activities.

The successful candidate will:

• Have the ability to support teaching and learning activities in all areas of the curriculum for groups of pupils.
• Be able to work in partnership with the current teaching staff and PE lead, to complement their delivery of the PE national curriculum.
• Be enthusiastic about sports and have high expectations of pupil achievement.
• Be able to organise and plan sporting events.
• Work well in partnership with parents.
• Be able to work safely, creatively and flexibly.
• Be able to prioritise tasks effectively. 

GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent is essential.
