This role was previously advertised at a lower grade, but has been re-evaluated to NJC Grade G. The role of Site & Facilities Manager is vital in ensuring the site facilities are maintained and improved to provide the best learning environment for all students across the campus.  This role forms a vital element of our cross-phase partnership working with Plym Bridge Nursery School and Day Care, Cann Bridge School and Tor Bridge High who share the onsite facilities.  Alongside this, the ‘Soundhouse’ is an excellent example of the community use of our facilities with regard to performing arts.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a pro-active, strategic approach to the leadership of a committed site team.

You may also be required to attend to site out of hours if necessary – an additional payment is made for this.

We are looking for a colleague who has:

  • a proven track record of strategic leadership;
  • knowledge of building management systems;
  • excellent communication skills with both staff and external contractors;
  • excellent skills in planning and organisation;
  • the desire to develop professionally in this role;
  • high level qualifications, preferably to degree level which are relevant to the post;
  • the ability to act as the Academy’s Health & Safety contact;
  • the thirst to continually look at systems and controls and make changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the team;
  • the ability to work alongside the senior leadership teams within each school, providing guidance and information as appropriate;
  • the ability to work collaboratively with the vision of constantly striving to provide a high standard of physical environment to our key audience, our learners;
  • high level IT and administration skills.
