Teaching Assistant Post 1  

  • Grade C SCP 4-6
  • Pro-rata salary (£7208 - £7499)
  • 8:45 -12:15 x 5 days per week ( Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday and Friday )
  • 17.5 hours per week   x 38 weeks per year
  • Start date 1st September 2020
  • One year fixed temporary contract 

Teaching Assistant Post 2   

  • Grade C SCP 4-6
  • Pro rata salary (£5354 - £5571)
  • 8:45 – 12:00 x 4 days per week Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Total of 13 hours per week and x 38 weeks per year
  • Start date :1st September 2020
  • One year fixed temporary contract

We are looking to appoint well- motivated individuals to work closely under the direction of the class teacher to challenge our children to achieve their very best whilst accessing a personalised curriculum. 

The successful candidates will: 

  • Have a warm, caring, nurturing personality with a friendly disposition.
  • Be enthusiastic, flexible and organised with excellent communication skills and initiative.
  • Be able to develop positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Be familiar with SEN practices including EHC plans
  • Be able to work alongside our SENCo, teachers, parents and outside agencies to support children’s learning and progress
  • Be passionate about working with children and look forward to joining our friendly team.
  • Be able to support pupils in development skills in independence, self-confidence, and social interaction.
  • Have high expectations of pupils’ learning and behaviour.

It would be advantageous for applicants to have a relevant NVQ (or equivalent) qualification as well as their own resilience to support our pupils on a daily basis. Our pupil’s individual needs and education is of paramount importance to us, we work closely with parents and carers as well as other support agencies to ensure that this is delivered in the most appropriate manner. Teaching assistants are valued members of the team, training and support will be provided. This post also requires a good level of literacy and numeracy. 

We are committed to safeguarding and expect all staff to share this commitment- an enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.
